2021 will be our first vintage at Golden leaves. Our wine making style blends traditional methods – fermentation in stainless tanks with pump-over cap management, malolactic fermentation for a softer wine, aging in oak barrels – and newer techniques such as BPA free food grade polymer tanks designed provide the same micro-oxygenation as an oak barrel, and oak “adjuncts” such as staves & cubes for precise control of the oak in our wines. Sterile 0.45 micron filters remove yeast and bacteria and improve its clarity without the use of any additives. We use the minimum amount of sulfites to ensure that the wine will keep. Until the 2021 vintage is ready for release we will age, blend, bottle and cellar wine started in other California wineries.

With a little help from heartier varietals, this thin skinned parent of Cabernet Sauvignon produces a medium boded wine with red berry flavors and a hint of pepper.
2017 Petit Verdot
Named for its late ripening, small thick skin grapes, Petit Verdot is often picked before fully ripe in its native France, In warmer climates it reaches its full potential, with floral aromas, berry flavors & leathery tannins.
